What you will do as a Customer Service Advisor for Bupa
  • Attend a full time, fully paid training course that will empower you to succeed
  • Represent Bupa, always ensuring outstanding customer service in an often sensitive healthcare situation
  • Manage all customer contact including claims in line with regulatory requirements
  • Guide customers to ensure they receive the correct treatment in line with their policies
  • Act as an escalation point to other business area for health cases deemed clinically complex and/or general policy enquiries
  • Pre-authorise customers' treatment using set protocols
  • Utilise tech and tools to solve customer enquiries swiftly and efficiently
  • Take a customer first approach to query resolution
  • Utilise our industry leading inhouse support tools to stay engaged, empowered and ready to progress up the Sensée career ladder

About You

What we’re looking for from a Customer Service Advisor for Bupa

  • Confidence, empathy and compassion whilst dealing with health and well-being enquiries
  • Candidates with a solid background in customer service and problem-solving (ideally gained in a contact centre environment)
  • A curiosity for people, passion, an ability to self-motivate and the drive to work autonomously
  • The confidence to ask for support when needed (managers, colleagues and virtual floor walkers will be there for you instantly, all the time)
  • The flexibility to not only work around your own daily priorities but also our client’s requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to get up to speed with products and systems quickly, and an excellent grasp of internet technology.
  • IT literacy, high flexibility in your schedule, good organisation, independence and self-reliance
  • A shared passion for ethics, the environment, excellence and innovation.

What you will need

It is a busy role with a high volume of customer interaction and as such, you need a quiet place to work that is comfortable, light and airy - as well as the right equipment:

  • 2 monitors to connect with customers and access multiple systems
  • A PC that is big and fast enough to perform your role. MACs are not suitable. Laptops can be used on some client accounts. (min 8GB RAM)
  • A steady wired broadband connection delivering at least 3MB per second
  • A headset to take calls comfortably and professionally
  • (On selected accounts) a telephone line and telephone handset.

Operational Hours

Our client partnerships offer flexibility to all customer service advisors. Each partnership has operating hours and you will select your preferred working patterns within those operating hours.
